文学と絵画の関係は古くから議論されてきた。本作では、絵画がどのように言葉を超えうるかを主題としている。文学は、登場人物や風景を読者の想像に委ねることで、イメージを固定しない。一方で絵画は、像を提示するメディアである。本作ではその差異を踏まえ、人物の身体を描かず、背景の色によってのみその存在を示す。輪郭だけが浮かび上がる像は、不在でありながら確かにそこにあった存在を示している。見えない存在としての「透明人間」を肯定的に捉え、その存在を可視化することで、絵画と文学の関係を再考する。

The relationship between literature and painting has long been a subject of discussion. This work explores how painting can transcend language. Literature leaves the imagination of characters and landscapes to the reader, avoiding the fixation of a single image. In contrast, painting is a medium that presents a visual form.

Based on this difference, I refrain from depicting the physical body of the figure, indicating its presence solely through the color of the background. The image, in which only the outline emerges, suggests a presence that is absent yet undeniably once there. By affirming the “invisible person” as an unseen existence and rendering that presence visible, this work reconsiders the relationship between painting and literature.​
